Monday 5th December 2005 was a historic day for the gay & lesbian communities, it is the first day that single sex couples can register to marry in a legal ceremony called a 'Civil Partnership'.
After a period of 15 days, the first Civil Partnerships will take place on 21st December 2005 (there are some 500+ couples on a waiting list for Brighton alone).
As an established professional DJ, I was lucky enough to be an exhibitor at Brighton's Gay Wedding Show on Sunday 4th December 2005 where 1300+ people came though the door in search of quality suppliers and focused advice. We met a lot of couples who are finally able to have the same rights as other couples and made some very useful contacts. The atmosphere was positively buzzing all day.
