What do people think of the speed restrications / road narrowing and humps by the hen and chicken pub. they have been there a while now, are they really needed. I believe there purpose was to slow traffic because of the schools. Do people really think they achieve this?? There are ones in place by the schools that do this. does this rest of Cedar drive need speed humps ie the loop.

Some sort of speed restriction needs to be in place, and clearly not everyone is obeying them. A few weeks ago someone flipped a car just North of the H/C pub. Think what speed you need to be doing to achieve that. Now think what damage that speed does to a small child in a heavily residential area. I live right next to a speed bump and the clatter of the lorries over it annoys me. But, if it means pedestrian lives saved, it's worth it.

I have discussed the Hen & Chicken traffic calming system on here before:

Personally I would rather it was replaced with a speed camera. Although like I said in the previous post it is not as bad as it was before they moved it.
