I have just read the current Liberal Democrats 'Southwater Focus'

It says they have launched a protest against plans to launch a 'car valet service' at the Hop Oast Park and Ride Car Park.

This is apparently to protect the 'Strategic Gap' between Horsham and Southwater.

Speaking as someone who was accused of being 'Victor Meldrew' in the Kleeneze thread, they sound like a right bunch of kill joys to me.

If it is contained within the existing car park it is hardly further threatening the 'Strategic Gap'. Also if it is as good as the service provided by people in the Sainsbury's car park it will be welcomed by many motorists. If it is priced right it might even encourage more people to use the park and ride facilities.

What do other think? Am I missing something?

I have no problem with Horsham and Southwater getting too close
