I tried to park my car in Lintot Square today and found all the car parking spaces where full including all the disabled spaces. People were even parking on the pavements. This seems to happen every time I go down there. I am sure they could have designed the car park with a few more spaces without increasing the overall size much.

Are they not building a car park nearby then?

I had exactly the same problem the other day.  Mind you, it doesn't help that people park so badly, and what with all the lorries etc.   Still once the bit they're working on at the moment is finished there should be more parking spaces made available.  You could always check with them at the Parish Council!!!

What is the purpose of all the metal posts and why dosn't someone do something about the entrance and exit. It is just to narrow.

I have no idea why the posts are there. The whole thing is not very well thought out. I hope there are more spaces when the CO-OP opens etc.

Visited lintot square today now the new offices have opened another 4 / 5 spaces have dissappeared from the shopper. still metal posts in the car park, can someone please explain there purpose. still the entrance / exit is too narrow i was told this was to be widened. anybody know if this is true and when will it be done, if at all. why not make it really user friendly and put some yellow lines down, a ticket machine and enforce a bit of clamping. Somebody (are you listening Southwater Parish Council) needs to sort it out.

From what I understand the posts are for parking motor bikes in and the entrance/exit will be changed once Co-op is up and running.  I was told it will be one way in and one way out
