Today is St George's Day

Unfortunately it has become 'politically' incorrect in some quarters to celebrate being English.

Horsham is a typical English town and it would be nice to see a few English flags out for this day.

Sorry i missed this on the 23rd, hope everyone had a good day?

I believe we should be proud to be English and to be honest sometimes i think we should push this day more and more. Personally i believe it should be a public holiday, what does everyone on here think? Write to your MP lol

I popped into Piries Bar on St George's Day. They had St George's Crosses everywhere but had a ban playing Irish Music. Most Odd. Everyone was having a good time though. Perhaps the Irish know how to celebrate more.

ps I think it would be great to have a public holiday for St George's day but I can't see it happening as we already have a lot of public holidays this time of year. There was a suggestion of having an extra one around September ? October Time. I think they were considering 'Trafalgar Day'
