Apparently the Christmas lights are going to be switched on at an event in the Forum on Thursday 24th November. I thought the lights were normally switched on with a big event on a Saturday. Previous years have seen a big firework display on the top of the Swan Walk car park. Does anybody know why it is a Thursday this year?

I'll take a wild guess and say that it's possibly something to do with late opening I think you are right Brian. I found this on the council website: "Other Festive dates for the diary are Horsham’s Christmas lights switch on which takes place at 6pm on Thursday 24 November in Horsham’s Forum, Blackhorse Way. This will include a children's candlelit procession, Snow White, carols round the tree and lots more. There will also be a French Market at The Forum, Blackhorse Way until 8pm on Thursday 8 December. Late night shopping in Horsham runs from Thursday 24th November to Thursday 22nd December when shops in the town are open until 8pm." http://www.horsham.gov.uk/your_area/news_5766.asp No mention about fireworks though.

| So, what's wrong with the larger Carfax all of a sudden. Sounds like the Forum may be a bit on the packed side. Are they putting on fireworks???

AndyH (08/11/2005) So, what's wrong with the larger Carfax all of a sudden. Sounds like the Forum may be a bit on the packed side. Are they putting on fireworks???Apparently there will not be fireworks this year. Its a shame because they have been great in previous years. Still at least we had some great fireworks in Southwater last Saturday. T.

Are they putting on fireworks???Hi Andy Thanks for registering, the Carfax has been pretty packed in recent years but I am wondering if it's true there are no fireworks, they might not get such a big turn out. The fireworks have been a big crowd puller up to now.

| Did anybody go? I have had a few people tell me it was a bit of an anticlimax compared to previous years.
