Hi all

I moved to Horsham from Dorking in Jan 08, but am originally from North Wales. I don't know anyone in Horsham and I'm finding it hard to meet local people.

I've recently gotten into photography and have created a group on Flickr to try and get some occasional meets arranged. I'm also trying to summon up the courage to go to the 20-40s walking group on Sundays if anyone is interested.

I'm 37 and live in the Hills Farm Lane area.

I don't know if I can post a link to the Flickr group on here?

Hope to get at least one reply ;o)

Hello

Thank you for registering and welcome to the forums.

I love Flickr! I set up this Flickr group a few years ago:

http://www.flickr.com/groups/horsham/

Several forum members have used the above to upload the original images of photos they have posted on this forum. We also use it to post the original images from www.visithorsham.co.uk

I am assuming your group is the one below so I have linked it for you:

I would highly recommend the 20-40s walking group. I did a few walks with them myself in the early days when I had more time on my hands than I do now. I thoroughly enjoyed the walks and met some interesting people.

Their founder, Dave, is also a member of this forum:

What a small world! I'm already a member of your Flickr group, but it seems to be quite quiet.

I set my group up as I wanted to include people around Sussex, Surrey and Kent too as I have friends in that area. So I'm hoping to get some people joining to come along to occasional meets, to hopefully make some new friends.

I did notice the link to the walking group after I posted, but didn't realise he was a member. Thanks very much for the link. I'll try and be brave and get down there one Sunday.

Also thanks for posting a link to my Flickr group

You might find the Friends of Warnham Local Nature Reserve of interest - we have a number of photographers amongst our members, including myself with an interest in photomicrography. Website is at http://www.friendsofwarnhamlnr.org.uk/index.html

We are usually around at the Reserve on Sundays guzzling tea and coffee!
