| I've been back to this forum from time to time and it amazes me that it is not made more use of. Horsham is lucky enough to have a forum dedicated to it's town and Southwater. Many towns do not. You'd think folk would be clambering to come onto this site and natter away but they're not - why? I moved to Horsham back in 2006 and I have still not made any friends, belong to anything - as I have a limited income. I no longer have a car as I cannot afford to run one. What I would like to suggest is that we have a Community Centre in central Horsham. Somewhere where folk who are lonely and need to meet and make new friends can go, have a chat and a cup of tea. Somewhere that doesn't necessitate a drive somewhere but literally within walking distance of the Carfax so that from the bus station anyone can walk comfortably to it. Yes I'm aware of the walking groups that hike round the park - I'm aware for the healthier folk the facilities at The Pavilions. But there are those of us who can't or don't want to do this and just want somewhere we can go and be with people to break the lonely monotony of being 'home alone'. So anyone with any influence out there - get your thinking caps on - there's a need here that's not being filled. AND - why aren't more folk coming onto the site just to have a general natter ??? This is OUR forum - Horsham's Forum - get talking with others please. One complaint I would have though - the font size - it's minute - maybe this could be a reason folk are struggling - it's hard to read it's so small

| Hi Ivyleaf I agree with you about the people of Horsham not joining in. I suppose a lot of them are just working too hard. You can adjust the size of the text for your own posts

| Hi Ivyleaf, welcome to the forum. Of course we would like this forum to be busier so all contributions are welcomed. As stated above you can change the font size of your post by highlighting/selecting your text, clicking the 'size' box and choosing a higher number. For reading a post you can increase the font size by holding down the control key* on your keyboard and rolling the wheel on your mouse. *usually labelled Ctrl and on the bottom left of your keyboard

Just to add: I am aware that the default font is rather small and also that the text editor doesn't work as well as it should do in the Firebox browser. The company that makes this forum software are currently developing a new version that will address these issues. As soon an the new version is available I will upgrade this site.
