| Hi there, I'm looking to move to Horsham from Crawley, however we don't know much about the area. could anyone tell me which parts are the bad areas and which parts are the good areas? It's essential that I'm near to the station as I need to get the train in to Crawley daily, and also being near to the town centre would be a bonus. Also, no new estates, please! Any advice from you Horsham residents would be fantastic! Thanks. Gemma

Hello Gemma Thank You for registering and welcome to the forums. Fortunately I don't think there are any really BAD areas in Horsham. There are two stations in Horsham that you could use. You might find that somewhere near Littlehaven station would suit you. You might also want to try this tool that can give you some idea of a particular area: Regards

| Ooh, really? So there's nowhere really to avoid, then?! That makes life much easier. I've mainly been looking at the older style properties close to the station (denne parade and places around there), so it makes it a bit easier if I don't have to rule any bits out! I thought it might be a bit like Crawley where there are definite bits that are considered "rough" - I work for an estate agents and it's sooo hard to sell houses in these parts, which has kind of deterred me from any place that people consider rough as I don't want to have problems reselling the property either. Excellent news, that =D

Given you are an estate agent you may enjoy Roffey as "it is an up and coming area with huge potential to become really nice at some time in the future".
However, I just think it's a dump.
The last thing we need is another Estate Agent in Horsham

| Gemma : Welcome to Horsham. Please be assured that most of us will give you a warmer welcome than Mr. Tester. You may have just realised that unfortunately estate agents are not exactly his favourite people Tester: Gemma's post implies she works for a Crawley estate agent so she is not really another Horsham Estate agent.

| Don't know why anyone would ever want to live in Crawley in the first place. Horsham is far better, but getting worse as we keep gettinh people moving in from Crawley. That said, Horsham I'd thoroughly recommend Horsham as long as you don't like shopping: there's no where to park without paying exhorbitant fees and a lot of the shops are empty. If you want to live close to the town centre, I suggest your sell your car because it'll cost you an arm and a leg to park outside your own home. HDC seems to find more stealth taxes than the the current government, and insist it's what we all want.
