| I am thinking about adding Google's AdSense to Hidden Horsham to raise a bit of revenue. I accept that I won't be able to retire early on the revenue but it may bring a few shillings. Do any of you web site developers out there have experience of this or other ad based programs. The ones I use at the moment, Frith, Amazon, Plus etc aren't bringing my retirement plans any closer. Thanks for any help M

Hi M I run adsense on another forum I run: It's a bit of a 'niche' forum for a trade which is sadly in decline. The adsense brings in enough to make it worthwhile continuing with the forum but I am certainly not going to get rich on it. I think the rates that adense pays out have reduced in recent years. Another thing to consider is that you get paid in USD. With a weak dollar (relative to sterling) you loose out in the currency conversion, Having said that I know of other developers who make a very good income from it. I don't think you have anything to lose by giving it a try. You can switch the adsense on and of at your will. If you want any more info please feel free to email me. I would rather not give out specific details in an open forum but would happily discuss them in private.

Thanks DNW, I think I will give it a try and see what comes back. Shame about the US$ but that may change in the future.
