Does anyone have any suggestions for a wedding reception venue? I'm looking for somthing with a bit of character but not going to cost a million pounds. Any ideas would be really appreciated.

Thanks

We had our reception at The Cottesmore Golf and Country Club, out between Colgate and Pease Pottage. It really was an excellent venue. I don't know what their prices are like these days, but it was one of of the best value venues when we got hitched in '99. It is worth a look at least. Plus they have got accommodation onsite aswell. Hope this is of some help.

Depends what you want really.... There are lots of great venues around, some are quite expensive though. I have listed some that I have worked in on my website's venues page if it's of any help...

Try the Mannings Heath Hotel, very friendly there...

I used to work at the mannings heath hotel many years ago when it was brookfields farm hotel.  It was perfect for a wedding in a slightly loveable fawlty towers way.  i loved it there, it was very beautiful.  i hear it was sold and done up a few years ago.  I wish I could have had my wedding there.
