I am saddened to learn that Martin the Newsagent in Horsham is to close. I was just speaking to the staff who have had very little notice of its closure. Apparently it is to be replaced with an Orange phone shop. Like we need another mobile phone shop in Horsham

The odd thing is Martin's always seemed quite busy to me. I normally pop in there for a paper when I am in Horsham and there is nearly always a substantial queue at the till. I am sure if somebody opened up a smaller newsagents in the centre of Horsham it would be a goldmine. It seems to take forever to buy a paper in W.H Smiths nowadays. They only ever seem to have one till open.

I hope all the staff at Martin's find employment elsewhere.

I'm shocked.  I've always thought there is a great lack of newsagents in Horsham.  Now the only large town centre dedicated newsagents has gone.

yeah i know what u mean about the Q's in that newsagent ...they take forever and the women that work in there need to seriously sue the charm school they attended cos it didnt work. Moody as!

A decent newsagent would make a mint in that location a decet one though, not the kind of gaff by where i live that has a box of them DVD's you get free with the weekends papers for 25p each....cheeky rascals.
