| Hi Gavin pointed me in this direction when we exchanged messages on the flickr website. My name is Peter Head, Horsham born and bred and the wrong end of 60. I am a total cricket nut, having played at Roffey and Broadbridge Heath. I am also a committed Italophile. For anyone here whose memory is long enough, my paternal grandfather founded the fruiterer, greengrocer and fishmonger business (Wm Head & Sons), with the shop originally in the old Albion Way before moving down to the bottom end of West Street, only to have to close down with the redevelopment there. Wilkinsons are now on that site. All Grandad's children worked at the shop but none of my generation - my cousins, my brother or me - did. It was a shame that we had to close; for one thing there has never been a decent wet-fish shop in the town since!! Regards
Regards
Peter

Hi Peter Glad to see you here! Thank your for registering and welcome to the forums. It was good looking at your Italian photos on Flickr. My wife and I had a great mini holiday in Sorrento last year (for a friends wedding). We both loved Italy and plan to go back when we can. It's always great to hear peoples memories of Horsham past especially when they have a long family like yours. We have several members (especially M of HiddenHorsham  who have a special interest in that sort of thing. Gavin
