Well hello there. I'm moving to Horsham from Essex in about a month's time so I'm on here to find out what it's all about!

I don't know much about the area at all, my fiance is moving from Crawley so he is a bit more clued up than me.

We decided to settle in Horsham after a few days out here made us completely fall in love with the area. I can't wait to move

I'd love to hear any recommendations for places to visit/ eat/ drink etc. I'm a complete book fiend, so will be checking out the library asap. I also have Chronic Fatigue syndrome so some of my more 'energetic' hobbies have to be curtailed!

So... what are Horsham's Best Bits?!

The library is great, well staffed by knowledgeable librarians. It is the busiest library in West Sussex.

The staff always have time to help, one spent a good deal of time with my son trying to find suitable books for him as he bridges the gap between childrens and teens

Hello Carrie

Thank you for registering and welcome to the forums.

Horsham District Council have recently produced a leaflet “Horsham Time Well Spent”. This is a great introduction to Horsham. An on-line copy can be found here:

http://www.visithorsham.co.uk/TimeWellSpent.aspx

As the above leaflet suggests a good place to start discovering Horsham is the Horsham Tourist Information Centre which is located in Horsham Museum.

Regarding eating and drinking in Horsham there are many great pubs and restaurants in Horsham. You will find a list of them all here:

http://www.visithorsham.co.uk/Sector/Eating_and_Drinking.aspx

I won’t recommend any particular one as I wish to remain impartial but the greatest concentration of restaurants is East Street so I would suggest as I starting point you walk down there and check out the menus in the window and see what takes your fancy!

You will find plenty of other useful information on this site and site like M’s Hidden Horsham and Clive Walker’s Horsham Pub Guide.

If there is anything else you need to know then just come back and ask.

Good Luck!

The theatre is pretty good too. Not just one stage but three and a studio. It is my cinema of choice, I have to be dragged kicking and screaming to the screens at Crawley!

Hi Carrie

We have lived in the Horsham area for over 30 years and there is plenty to do as you will see when you get here !

As for your ME - take a look at my website www.putyourfeetup.net as I have a client with your condition who comes to me weekly for treatments and she says it keeps her going - she is able to work almost full time in a responsible position.
