Hello.

I'm a small press comics artist living in Broadbridge Heath and, to be honest, I'm starting to feel like the only person in the whole Horsham area who does this. If anyone is or knows anyone who does this sort of thing (reads comics, make comics, draws comics, that type of thing) please get in contact with me. My email is richard@richardtingley.co.uk, and my webby site is www.richardtingley.co.uk.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers

Rich

Hello Rich

Thank you for registering and welcome to the forums. I like your drawings. Do you draw on paper and then scan them or do you use a computer drawing application?

Regards

I draw them on paper and scan them in.
I did digital stuff for ages, but have slowly moved back to traditional methods. There's just something more satisfying about it.

Your wish is my command.

Here are the first three pages from the first issue of Wander. Its a fantasy comic, heavily influenced by folk tales...well, that's the plan anyway. I've got the first issue drawn (called Shoots) but I've yet to get it all printed up.

Also, if anyone knows of any local folk tales or legends, let me know, I'd love to do something like that in comic form.

I don't know if you have seen this great little book but it may just contain a few local stories that may inspire you.

You might also want to look at the pages on Hidden Horsham featuring the gaols and some of the dubious punishments carried out in Horsham

By the way, I like your work. It has the feel of Studio Ghibli about it. Do you work in colour as well?
