| Hello there, Its great that some entertainment is on this week but what we want to know is , is it making a difference to anyones retail trade??? Is it bringing more people into town??? Its a shame the weather isn't ideal at the moment in the daytime but a couple of evenings have been quite nice, pity the wheel isn't open then!!! What does everyone else think???

| I had a chat with the big wheel operator on Monday afternoon. Mainly technical 'bloke' stuff like how long does it take to put together and what does it weigh. 12 - 15 hours and 6 tonnes being the answers. He pointed out the cab hanging from the spindle that they sit in when taking it apart. The strip down is Sat evening an Sunday. As for more trade, can't help there. It was about four o'clock and there were only three gondolas loaded for our trip, great views though. It can run in winds up to 120 mph though he tends to limit it to 50 - 60 mph! (more bloke stuff) I am guessing that it was a fairly short notice arrangement so not time to arrange any connections as per the Italian job a few weeks ago - perhaps the Town Centre Manager can confirm this. How about a few ideas for next time to save the TCM some thinking. I am sure a Ferris wheel pizza would be easy to design! Talking about the Italian Job (tenuous link for a plug I know!) I have just updated the Electric Theatre feature on Hidden Horsham. What is the connection I hear you muttering - it was where Sir Michael Caine took his first thespian steps.
