Which road in this wonderful town do you consider to be the worst when it comes to driving and the general state of repair? On the whole I think the roads round here are very good, but there are some that are full of patches and could do with being resurfaced.

I will start the nominations for the worst road surface in Horsham with Crawley Road in Roffey (between Tesco Express and Roffey traffic lights). This really is a bad bit of road, loads of patches where it has been repaired/dug up etc., flat it certainly isn't and all this exacerbated by a poor traffic calming layout! More of an assault course than a public road!

Any other nominations......????

That is a pretty poor patch of road, no pun intended. I cycle along that to and from work and agree it needs a bit of attention. Also a bit patchy is the strip of road outside Tanbridge House School, the Hills Farm Lane entrance

Not sure how influential this site is but the part of Hills Farm Lane described above has been fully re-surfaced at the end of last week!

Richmond road on the side of collyers is looking and feels quite shabby at the moment.

The junction where Blackbridge Lane meets the Worthing Road is getting a bit shabby with a large pot hole appearing.

You can report pot holes on line. I used the service a few weeks ago and had a phone call from the county to discuss exactly where the holes were. You can also report overgrown bridleways. One I use on a frequent basis when cycling will be cut back during its 9 month check this month - I will report back on how effective that is.

Meanwhile here is the link to report road defects:
