HI Everyone,

My wife and I moved to Southwater last summer and wish we had made the move sooner. My hobby is Astronomy. I hope to add this soon by joining the Southwater Dabblers and by building a model yacht.

Hi SixMDM

Thank you for registering and welcome to the forums.

I have always thought astronomy must be an interesting hobby. I have often found myself looking at the stars and planets on cold dark nights. I was on holiday in Australia last year staying in a chalet in a vineyard miles from any artificial light (apart from ours which we had switched off). The night sky was amazing it was actually quite a humbling experience realising how insignificant we all are. Please keep us posted on any astronomical events that can be seen by us people without telescopes. I always find Lunar Eclipses fascinating for example. (I once had to study one as part of an Open University science project)

Regards
