Hi, I am setting up a page on Hidden Horsham about the town's efforts to keep the Germans at bay were they to invade during WWII. So far I have collected the tank traps at Chesworth Farm, Causeway, on the river Arun bed by the Barrack Fields and the pill box at the Provender Mill (Town Mill). Also got some tank traps over Broadbridge Heath although that is a little outside my normal boundaries

Do you know of any others? Sirens on buildings perhaps, Anderson shelters and the like. All contributions gratefully received.

Thanks

M

Hi M

Have you had a look at Derelict Horsham. They have a military section dedicated to that sort of stuff.

I have checked out Derelict Horsham, excellent site, and got some ideas from there. Also confirmed with Bovington Tank Museum that the barrels in the river were anti tank defences, not retired cricket rollers - especially given the location.

I will need to link out to DH to credit him
