Feel free to add it to the &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.horshamforum.com/Calendar.aspx"&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;calendar&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/A&gt;</description><pubDate>Tue, 18 Sep 2007 21:46:23 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>DotNetWebs</dc:creator></item><item><title>Horsham community responders are looking to recruit</title><link>http://www.horshamforum.co.uk/Topic2175-4-1.aspx</link><description>&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT size=4&gt;Horsham community responders are looking to recruit&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=4&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;Horsham’s community responders, who work with South East Coast Ambulance Service, are holding a big recruitment drive in Horsham’s Carfax shopping centre this weekend.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;Members of the seven-strong team will be at the shopping centre from 8am until 6pm on Saturday, 22 September. &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt; &lt;BR&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;They are looking to recruit people in and around the Horsham and Southwater area who wish to become community responders.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;Community responders are members of the local community who are trained to work alongside the ambulance service, attending life threatening calls in their area.  &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;They often arrive before the ambulance clinicians, offering life-saving treatment to patients.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;Tim Freeman, scheme co-ordinator, said: “The Horsham and Southwater community responders have been going since the beginning of June and we have already attended more than 200 incidents.  &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;We are currently looking for local people or businesses wishing to support the scheme and our work in the local community.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size=3&gt;“If you are interested in supporting community responders or becoming one yourself, come along on Saturday and meet the team.
