Congratulations to Dixey CB, Materialistic Curtains, Wakefields Jewellers, Spellcast Studio and all the other Horsham town Centre business that picked up awards last night at the first ever Horsham SnapShop event. The awards recognise shops that give outstanding customer service based on a report made by a team of 'mystery shoppers'

It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and great credit should go to Gary Mortimer-Cook for organising it. I particularly enjoyed the 'First Impressions Count' presentation by Jonathon Winchester of Shopper Anonymous. The vast majority of his tips could apply to any business (not just retail). I learned a few things myself even though, as an exhibitor, I was not part of his intended audience.

I would also like to thank John Nodding of the Horsham Y Centre for the loan of his projector and computer network. John's very friendly and helpful staff did a great job making the whole event run smoothly.

I am looking forward to meeting (next week) all the businesses who expressed an interest in subscribing to the Visit Horsham website.
