As you know I have a page dedicated to the war graves in Hills Cemetery. If we can cross link on any individuals then I think that can only benefit those looking up history of these soldiers. Let me know what you think

Advertising on the war memorial - poor taste in my opinion.

I noticed yesterday that the Horsham War Memorial has two (admittedly small) placards, bolted to the railings, advertising a turfing company.

I am assuming that this is the turfing company who have provided the turf for the memorial. They have obviously done a good job but speaking as an ex-serviceman with a few ex-colleagues still serving in the gulf today, I think it is extremely disrespectful to use the war memorial as an 'advertising hoarding'.:angry:

I would be very interested to hear what other members think of the war memorial being used in this way.
