The debate seems to be around whether financial reparations should be made for something that happened 200 years ago etc etc. Whilst not wishing to express my views via this forum on this issue it did raise a question in my mind: I have read many books about Horsham but do not recall any reference to slavery in any of them. Perhaps this was never documented or never involved Horsham at a high enough level to merit a historical record.

I would appreciate any information anyone has on the slave trade's relationship to Horsham
