I have been very busy on the forum for the last week or so as I have been a bit preoccupied.

Our beautiful, healthy daughter arrived last week after a bit of a tricky labour that eventually resulted in an emergency caesarian section. Mum and baby are now home and doing well. :) :) :)

Those who know us personally will no doubt get to meet here soon and find out more details (if you aren't one of the many kind visitors we have already received!)

New Martial Arts training group in Horsham area

Hello everyone,

I am looking to open up a beginners course in Martial Arts (rather
chinese then the here common japanese and korean styles). I am currently in the process of

evaluating two offers for a location, but am open to any new suggestions, that do not cost

much or anything ;)

I already received some interest from a few people, but would love to hear from more.

I want to establish a rather informal group of mixed ages and experience, although the focus will

be on beginners or re-entering people with some experience.

Whether you want to start off freshly in a new group with other beginners

or would like to complement your own experience with a different approach with

new concepts and new partners, I am hoping to be able to please everyone :D

So if anyone is interested in joining in you're very welcome to contact me so I can keep you updated

when location and times are confirmed.

I am looking forward to answer any questions or comments you may have in the meantime!

Also if anyone knows a location, has a dirty old empty hall or larger room,

or maybe knows someone who could help, please let me know!
The room does not have to be big, just large enough for 5 to 15 people
max. to not kick each other ;)

I would be happy to go into more detail about the specific style I am
teaching, or how exactly I imagine this project to develop, if anyone
is interested.

Reflexology Taster Sessions, donations to St Catherine's Hospice

To celebrate World Reflexology Week at the end of September, a group of local reflexologists are holding a special event at Swan Walk Shopping Centre on Friday 28th September, 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Come and try reflexology at our 15 minute taster sessions and raise money for a good local cause at the same time! Donations in aid of St Catherine's Hospice are welcomed. Our stand will have plenty of information on reflexology and there will be a qualified reflexologist there to answer any queries. Find out how reflexology can help you acheive good health and well being.

Please support your local reflexologist and St Catherine's Hospice. How many of us know a relative or friend whose lives have been touched/affected in some way by cancer?

If Knew as a child, what I know now mum, I probably would'nt have made things so hard for you. I would have understood that you were looking out for my best interest, even though it may not have seemed so at the time.

I would have known how difficult it is to let go, to stand back and let someone you love learn from their mistakes. I would have realised how fortunate I was to have a mother who was always there for me even after an argument, even after I'd said things I should'nt have.

While its too late for a lot of things its not too late for me to tell you tat I appreciate how loving you are, how giving you've always been and that even though I may not always be good at showing it, I just want to say, "I Love You Very Much" Thank You Mum!!!

Southwater Art Club - DEMONSTRATION BY MARTIN IRELAND

Southwater Art Club are delighted to have acquired the talents of Martin
Ireland for an evenings demonstration about how he produces his dramatic
watercolours of figures in water. This most difficult subject embraces
movements, reflections and distortions but can lead to really satisfying
results.

Martin has had regular exhibitions, mainly in and around London since 1987.
His work appears in collections on three continents. He also teaches and
demonstrates drawing and painting techniques.

The demonstration will commence at approximately 7pm on Thursday 11th May
2006 at Southwater Village Hall. Entry is £3 for the Club members and £6
for others. All welcome
