Is it just me that seems to experience really bad driving from Taxi drivers? It could be a gross generalisation, but so often I see taxi drivers speeding well beyond the limits in built up areas. As a parent of 2 youngsters, this scares me.

Some of the bus drivers are just as bad. I nearly got flattened the other day on the Zebra crossing in Blackhorse Way, the one that goes from the Forum to the alley that leads into West Street. Kids often run down that alley straight onto the crossing but some vehicles including some buses seem reluctant to stop on it. I think it could do with speed bumps to slow the traffic. They could also do with a way of slowing traffic a bit further along Blackhorse Way on the corner behind the bus station (by what was Allders). Again kids get of the bus and run straight across the crossing, but it is hard to see traffic coming around the corner. I think the whole area behind the Blackhorse Way Car Park is an accident waiting to happen.
