| So First Direct are to charge for their internet & telephone banking service - £10 a month! Apart from jumping ship, and all the hassle that entails, it seems there are ways out. You can pay in more than £1500 a month (approx £26K salary?) or open another account with them. This could be a credit card, savings or mortgage account. Is this the beginning of the end of free banking? I guess it depends on how many jump ship - and HSBC will be watching to see
