Just a quick note to say that the Horsham Pub Guide website has had a bit of a makeover recently. Hopefully, the format is a bit better organised, and the pub photos are more attractive. The website has 40 pubs listed with more planned for the next few months.
The website is a "cycling guide to country pubs" but many visitors use it to find new pubs to visit and forget the cycling bit. That's also ok.
The website also enables anyone to submit a review or comment on any of the pubs. There have been a few interesting comments recently. Try as I might, it's difficult for me to visit all the pubs on a regular basis and the comments are a great way of reading recent opinions on each pub.

| Nice job with Horsham Pub Guide update Clive. My local is the Hen & Chicken in Southwater. I frequently do your suggested cycling routes from here. It might be worth adding that if you turn north on the Downs Link you soon end up at the Bax Castle. (A route I often do at this time of year )

Yes, the Downs Link is a great way to visit a few pubs on a user-friendly cycle route!
Update: I have amended the Hen and Chicken page with 'Downs Link north towards Bax Castle'.

My Dad came to visit yesterday. He brought a paperback copy of the "2005 Pub Guide" with him. He has always enjoyed seeking out new country pubs and he suggested that next time he visits he takes us out for lunch at one of the pubs in the guide book. (We didn't go yesterday because we were having a 'World Cup' barbeque ) After he had suggested a few pubs from the book I showed him your Horsham and Sussex Pub Guides. I couldn't get him off them! He said that the reviews were far more valuable than those in the book because they we made by real people. He also told me to tell you well done for your site.

Thank you, thnak you, thank you.
What a marvellous site. Venturing forth will be easy, and I will avoid some I might have tried.
Thank you again.
