Please have a look on the HDC Planning web site for the HFC application as there are many surveys loaded but the noise one carried out by English Cogger is worth reading. Please refer to the noise assessment survey carried out by English Cogger section 6.2 which states that complaints would be likely and again in section 8, that both assessment methodologies indicate that noise levels are likely to be above the criteria set out in the standards. Saying the increase will only occur on Saturday and Tuesday during the football season is completely unrealistic as even a few hours of constant noise is unacceptable and with further games and use of the facilities, the noise will be much more frequent.  This is the type of information we need to use in letters, not just to say there will be noise.

It is worth noting also that this assessment is made based on the current 'average' gate used for the application of just 400 people despite the fact that the application seeks planning permission for a ground with a capacity of 4,000. (Incidentally their actual average gate this season including cup matches is 50% more even than their current measure - over 600 people)

So that means a minimum of 50% more noise NOW than what HFC's own consultants state to be at levels that will cause complaints and up to 10 TIMES that noise when the ground is filled to its potentially approved capacity.
