It seems to me that Southwater footpaths and by-ways (eg Country park and Southdown link) are becoming increasingly more like dog toilets.

The problem existed a few years back but got better. We now seem to be back to the bad old days and worse.

The paths along Mill Straight and in the Country park are a nightmare to walk when the light is bad.

I walk to the Londis shop every morning and during the darker mornings recently, I found it easier (and cleaner) to walk in the road.

I don't blame the dogs, just the few irresponsible owners. Most of the dog walkers I meet are all very friendly and do pick up after their dogs: so why can't they all do it?

There are commercial poop-scoops available very cheaply but just a simply plastic bag (we all have a surplus of carrier bags these days) is all it requires. No need to get your hands dirty and there always bins nearby if you're too lazy to take it home.

C'MON SOUTHWATER DOG OWNERS - CLEAN IT UP. It could be you or your child is blinded by the toxicaris worms.

I agree

It should not be to much trouble to pick it up with a carrier bag and put in in one of the many bins in Southwater provided for this purpose.
