I am putting together an article for Hidden Horsham about property developments over the last years. I am planning to focus on three points:

  1. New buildings such as the steel and glass constructions, eg the front of the Capitol
  2. New buildings designed to blend in with the old (eg where Bishops Move were in Worthing Road)
  3. Old buildings that have been renovated, eg the Provender Mill

Comments and suggestions will be welcomed!

Thanks

M

How about the new Brighton Road Baptist Church. Soon to be finished and includes glass, steel and some of the old church's windows.

I will be interested to see the product of your efforts. Unfortunately there are all too few good modern buildings in Horsham. Bland, boring or dire are adjectives that come to mind in most cases. However, the bus station works quite well and the main building on the old King and Barnes site is good viewed as one drives down Albion Way (except for the ghastly carbuncle added on the corner with Bishopric!).

Thanks for your input. The four page feature was uploaded last weekend so if you agree with me!

I am planning a feature on the new Baptist Church so have left that out - for now. Interested to read that glass was being re-used
