| Hello Thank you for registering and welcome to the forums. I think Southwater is a great place to live and I am sure you would not be bored here. As you have probably already seen Southwater had undergone some radical changes in the last couple of years. The old village centre was almost completely demolished in 2005 and replaced with the new infrastructure we have now. The new buildings included the Health Centre, Library, CO-OP and the Lintott which has quickly established itself as a great community pub Southwater Country Park is great for families and is located on the Down’s Link which is very popular with cyclists, walkers and horse riders. There is a regular bus service into Horsham so you are within easy reach of additional facilities. I am not aware of any major problems in Southwater at the moment. You often see groups of youths ‘hanging out’ in the village in the evenings. Some people have said they find this a bit intimidating but to be honest there is not much else for teenagers to do in the evenings - although the new Skate Park is now open. I don’t think it’s a major problem. Hopefully others can give you some more information. Good luck with what ever you decide to do. Keep us informed!

Southwater is a lovely place to live. The villagers are very proud of their village and there are plenty of clubs and societies. We have a new village centre and plenty of eating places now, although we are missing a coffee shop.

| Southwater is okay, but like any village you need a car as it's a bit cut off - and house prices are considerably cheaper than Horsham for a reason. As for council estates, they are no better or worse than anywhere else in West Sussex - all pretty much the same in my experience (I've been to a lot)
