We were in the Hen and Chicken last night. The "Tube Snake Boogie Band" were playing. They were fantastic. It was great to see the pub full and see people of all ages enjoying themselves. Apparently there was a great band a couple of weeks before. Lets hope these music nights become a regular thing.

Thanks for pointing out this band I have just been listening to their MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/cottoncandykillers They sound good and I am into most of the stuff on their 'influences' list. I will try and see them at the Green Dragon. Welcome to the forums BTW

I went to the Hen & Chicken New Year's Eve and was surprised to see it packed. It was a really good night, the band were brilliant and the good barstaff were working, not the one who almost put me of going in their for life. It was nice to see it full for a change, it was much busier than the Lintot, especially as there never seems to be anyone there when I drive by.
