Hi

Can anyone help in suggesting a venue for the above…

I am looking to set this up on a monthly basis with high quality tribute bands as well as new developing bands from the local area.

At present I will be looking for a location nr town with a reasonable stage and audience capacity of about 200 - 300.

I 'm proposing 2 events a month...

1) Top classic rock tribute bands & disco

2) A platform for new tribute and general rock bands

Hi

Did you check out the Extra Time Bar at Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre? Up until about 4 years ago there used to be some great ‘tribute band’ nights there. It has a stage and a bar. I am not sure of the capacity but it could probably accommodate the numbers you are looking for.

As has been mentioned on this forum before, there is real need for a decent venue in Horsham. Good luck with this. I am certain there is a demand for the sort of event you are proposing.

Regards

There is a fantastic venue we use for HouseProud in Ewhurst - not all that far away (10-15 mins), but not in a town centre - Hurtwood Park.

The manager is Andy Mead.

It would be nice but I doubt a music licence would be issued for a regular event in the park due to the proximity of the residential areas.

That looks an interesting venue Brian. What is the approximate capacity and does it have decent facilities? Glad your event was a success BTW.

It's a beautiful barn in the middle of nowhere with a well stocked bar, a restaurant service is available, plenty of parking.
They have bands there quite often, and can be open till 2am.

Here are a couple of photos I took:

How about the Brighton Road Baptist Church? Now just re-opened with a large auditorium. Might have to check the ethics of the band though....see the feature on Hidden Horsham
