I haven't been to the Capitol since it was refurbished. Is it any more expensive than any other cinema?

I must admit nowadays I tend to wait for the DVD to come out. I prefer to watch films at home on my surround sound system with a couple of beers.

yep, totally agree. the prices are an extortion, but i suppose when you are at the cinema, theres nowhere close by to buy sweets, so the capitol will know people will have to buy sweets there so they charge a high price to maximise on the custom.

There is a letter in the West Sussex County Times this week complaining that the kiosk in the Capitol did not accept cheques. Apparently they now will but only for a minimum charge of £4.50. I bet that doesn't buy much!

I went to the Snow White panto on Xmas eve at the ....'OH NO YOU DIDN'T'
Oh yes I did....

OK, OK! Back to the topic..
The prices for the drinks did not seem any more extortionate that at any other venue or pub to me. Over the last few weeks, I have worked at places like South Lodge, Amberley castle, Park Lane Sheraton etc... where £4 for a pint of lemonade was not uncommon. I have also worked at a couple of social clubs where £1 for a pint of lemonade was the norm.

To be perfectly honest, I was more concerned with the level of service offered at the Capitol's bar. I thought the level of staffing was very poor on Saturday. Other than that, it was a nice experience.
