If you want a good local radio station that covers this area I can recommend Spirit FM. It is broadcast from Chichester for all of West Sussex. It DOESN'T cover Surrey or Hampshire, just West Sussex. It has 3 frequencies across the county and for the Horsham area it is 106.6. I found it about 2 years ago and have been listening ever since. It's excellent for local news and traffic reports, and it has also lead the campaign to save the A&E departments at Worthing and Chichester hospitals. Give it a try, it beats the other local radio pumped out from Crawley hands down!

Hi Andy

I must admit I hadn't heard of Spirit FM until late last year when they helped promote the Visit Horsham Site. I also recommend Spirit FM and now often listen to them online while working on the computer.

This link will allow you to listen to Spirt FM on the internet:

I agree with Andy, Spirit FM is a good local station. It makes a change for us to have something fairly local. I’m not a great fan of FM stations, as they tend to play too much modern stuff and have too many commercials. We could really do with a dedicated station for Crawley and Horsham; you can’t call Mercury local, as it is mainly part of a national network. I listen to County Sound on 1566Khz Medium Wave; it just out of our area based in Guildford but is a true local station with good music, not too modern. Call me old fashioned if you like! Paul
