This is a fascinating directory of Horsham photographers of a time when photography was in it's infancy. It included many details of the photographers, their family and associates taken from the census's of the time. It also includes many examples of their work. The photographs themselves give a glimpse into life in Horsham at that time. Many of the buildings in the photographs are recognisable and will be familiar to shoppers in Horsham today. Thanks M for pointing out this link.

| This is another 'labour of love' site that the internet is excellent at delivering. The site covers the whole of Sussex, divided into east & west but the link above covers Horsham, the area that this forum is most interested in Like Hidden Horsham one suspects that it will never be 'finished' but will continue improving with contributions from the author David Simkin, and those who view then contribute to the site
